PET films
PET films are versatile plastic films that come in various finishes, including whitish, translucent, dark, milky, and colored, with the most common form being transparent. These films are designed for applications requiring excellent dielectric properties and can be treated in several ways, including metallization, siliconization, heat sealing, UV protection, corrugation, anti-scratch coating, and heat stabilization.
Technical Properties
- Excellent dielectric strength, rated at 280 kV/mm for a 23µm film, suitable for electrical insulation.
- High tensile and impact strength, ensuring durability and robustness.
- Resistant to oils and hydrocarbons, making them ideal for chemically demanding environments.
- Capable of being thermoset, providing enhanced stability and durability under heat.
- Low permeability, effectively protecting against moisture and gases.
- Suitable for continuous use at 105°C (UL) and up to 130°C (CEI), with an operational range from -70°C to 150°C.
- Classified as VTM-2, indicating good fire-resistant properties.
- Good resistance to bending, ensuring the film maintains its integrity under physical stress.
